Asian Pigeon wings

Scientific name of Asian Pigeon wings is clitoria ternatea, which belongs to the family of fabaceae.

How to grow a cross variety of clitora terenatea? 

It is a perennial herbaceous plant with elleptic,obtuse leaves, it grows as vine or creepers doing well in moist soil.
The most striking feature about this plant is the color of it's flower, a vivid deep blue; solitary with light yellow marking.


This plant is native to equatorial Asia including locations The Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia but has also been introduced to Africa, Australia and America.

Aparajita flower called in konkani.

In India it is revered as holy flowers, used in daily puja rituals, it is called "Shanku poolu" as it resembles a "counch shell"
In West Bengal it is known as "Aparajita"

It is used as various Ayurvedic medicines including memory enhancing and Antistress.
